Tag! All about Landon!

I got tagged from Meagan! So, here we go. And, I figured since I just had Landon, I'd do this one about Landon in particular.

1. Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At home, in the bathroom.
2. Who was with you? Jeff

3. How did you find out? Well, my boobs were hurting like ALL the time I couldn't figure it out. Jeff kept pushing me to take a home test, and I was like, nah, I'm fine. took one, and I was "fine", a week or 2 later, still had the same boob issue. Took another one, and it was obviously 2 lines in there. Jeff was like "can I say I told you so?!"

4. What was your first reaction? My eye totally got huge, and I looked at Jeff, fairly surprised. I think I covered my mouth actually. totally surprised!

5. What was your husband's reaction? He was sitting next to me, and we have this thing about not saying "I told you so" to the other person, so he saw it, and got the OK from me to say it to me. He was all smiles though, he was happy.

6. Who was the first person you told? Jeff found out the same time I did, so not him. I think...Maybe Rachel! I thik my mom too.

7. Was the pregnancy planned? Yes and no. It wasn't a huge effort with us, but if it happened, we would've been really excited. And, we were!

8. Did you find out the sex? Yes, I HAD to know!

9. Did anyone throw a baby shower for you? Yes, my friend Melissa and Hanna.

10. If yes, who came? My sister and mom, all my gfs from HS since I've lived in WA.

11. Did you get any outfits you knew you wouldn't use? Nope.

12. How much weight did you gain? Ya know, I don't know ow much the last day I was pregnant with Landon. Between 30-40lbs I know that much.

13. Did you get stretch marks? No, thank goodness! Even the doctors commentedo how rare that was for my 2nd baby. Go me!
14. Did you crave anything crazy? I craved some meat and some cheeses. Even macaroni and cheese! Which I usually don't like. Alot of other things, like pickles, crumb donettes of all things. (which I also am not a huge fan of, pickles that is)

15. Who or what got on your nerves the most? I was working FT, til the last month or so. When whiney people were too dumb for their own good, or southerners that had THICK accents and I couldn' understand them it was that bad, drove me crazy. (I worked in Corporate liable for Sprint|Nextel)

16. Where were you when you went into labor? Funny enough, the day of my surgery, they put me on the monitors fora bit, and were like "Oh look, you're having pretty frequent contractions!" I didn't feel them at all.

17. Did you have any complications? One tiny one, my body tempreture dropped pretty drastically. But, the weird part was, I felt like I was going to die from heat stroke.

18. Did your water break? Nope, dr did that for me.

19. Who drove you to the hospital? Jeff did. I'm glad he was home, becuaue the Nav messed up on his fligts out of San diego, he got home the day prior to my surgery date.

20. Did you go early or late? 2 weeks early.

21. Who was in the room? More like O.R! alot of doctors, and nurses, and Jeff.

22. Did you videotape it? Nope

23. Did you have any pain medication? Yes, a spinal block. Ever had one of those?! It's insane! Worst part bout it is, they pretty much expose all your body to everyone in the Operating Room. And they all get to watch thee hing take effect, which fees like you're paralyzed from your chest down.

24. Did you have a c-section or natural? Natural with Leena. Which was HELL. I had sooo many problem, my delivery almost killed me with her. So, my Dr told me I was pretty much too small to deliver babies normally. And my bones were too small. So, we had a Cesaerean because of the previous issues I had, and because he was breech.

25. What was your reaction to the birth? It seems fast now that I reflect on it. They started operating on me at 5:45, he was born at 6:04, butt first!I was happy he was so healthy and all that.

26. How big was the baby? 7lbs 1oz! Not huge, but he would've been huge if he had been full term!

28. When is the next one coming? When Landon is potty trained and out of diapers.

29. If you could would you do it all over again? Yes, kids are so worth it! Just if I have a c section again, I hope Jeff doesn't watch and then tell me later what they did to me! No wonder I have 6 weeks to recover!

I tag Amy, Lynette and Julia

New addition!

Landon Jeffery Daniels is here, yay!

He weighed in at 7lbs 1oz, 18 1/4" long. Pretty close to what Leena was when she was born. So far he's an amazingy baby! Barely fusses if he is hungry or needs a change. He is loved and adored by everyone. I had a c-section with him, Jeff attentively watched the whole thing, no way would I ever do that! I can barely stand my own blood. Overall it went good, praise the person who invented the spinal block. The only thing that was'nt very good that happened, was my body tempreture, It dropped down to 89 or 90 degrees. Yet as they put all these things on me to warm me up, I felt like I was on fire, I was in a massive sweat. But over a day or 2, finally got it up again, so that was nice.

Landon sleeps in 6 hour blocks or so.So we only got up with him 2-3 times last night, we realize how lucky we are!

Leena wrote about her brother being born in her school diary, I took pictures of it because it is that cute! Phonetically spelled everything, complete with drawings. She loves him to pieces now. We love both of those little kiddos!

Landon's birthday is tomorrow!

So tomorrow is the big day, everyone is happy that we'll be adding Landon to the family.

have to be at the hospital at 3:30pm, then the surgery is at 5:30. It was funny, I logged into one of my little social sites I'm on, and my gf Rachel is so excited, she had it blasted all over her page. I've been lucky enough that everyones been supportive of this, and everyone is THRILLED that we're having a little boy.

Jeff is on his way home right now, YAY! I was worried he wasn't going to be able to make it, just because sometimes the Navy changes their minds on things. Whatever the case, he's sooooo excited, he couldn't sleep last night even. Haha.

We'll bring the camera and make sure to send pictures out when we have internet access and all that stuff. Hopefully all goes well!

Leena and that little bird...

I posted a couple things a few weeks ago, how Leenas little bird, Topaz had died a sudden death. After replacing him with the new bird, Sunny, we THOUGHT everything would eventually go smoothly.

Not so much. My mom had left his cage door open. He has his wings clipped, but they really need another trim to say the least. He's capable of flying a pretty good distance. But, no one wants to clip them in fear of him hating them for it. Anyway, Leena was at school and my mom had decided she was going to clean the cage. I don't know why, but she had the back door open on one of the last and rare few sunny days here. Sunny, hops out of his cage and takes off for the wild blue yonder out of the back sliding glass door. Of course my mom freaks out, because she sees him fly off into a neighbors yard, and obviously can't get to him. Hours go by and Leena is finally home from school. She tells Leena he's flown away. Of course she cries because that's bird #2.

The catch is, Leena went to a birthday party, and was given a little toy that you fill up with water, and when you blow on the whistle, sounds like a bird. So, Leena takes that little toy, and starts blowing on it, because we know he responds to the sound. Well, they heard him several times but couldn't pin point it.

Hours go by and by the time I get there, it's cold, dark and rainy. Surprise surprise. Anyway, we keep trying with the bird thing. Anyway, my mom got a neighbor involved because she's like super animal woman. I think she's a marine biologist actually. I went to school with her. They go outside because they hear him across the street on the neighbors roof! They chased him and chased him. Still no luck.

And so finally, my mom and Leena call it at night, they'll try to get Sunny the mischevious bird, back in the morning.

I guess my mom prayed pretty hard that night, for Leenas sake because when I talked to her, I said "We need to get you a pet without wings huh Leena?" and she gave me her big blue eyes and sad face and moped "yeah, they all die or fly away". (shes only had 2, but when you're 6, I'm sure it feels like that)

Anyway, the biologist neighbor was off to school the next morning, when she saw something. A little yellow bird across the street! It was Sunny! So, she knew we'd been trying to get him back, and after a while of chasing him, she got him back!

Funny enough now, that bird won't get out of his cage.

I don't think he'll ever forget he tried to make a break for it, neither will Leena.

Oh hey look, I'm having contractions....more to come after that.
