I absolutely freakin' love Barbara Streisand in the movie, "The way we were", back from 1975 or '74. It's totally cornball of me, I know. But I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I get this in my head, and not to mention....it STAYS in my head for weeks!
Barbara, I love you. Unfortunately just in this song and movie...ok, and maybe in What's up Doc?

Falling!
So my little Landon Jeffery is a walking machine. This is good and also, BAD NEWS. He's so clumbsy! He's also turning into a small, handful. He will be in his high chair, and take his food and if not throw it AT you, he'll throw it onto the floor. We don't give it back to him not only becuase that's just gross, but he needs to learn not to do that.
Yesterday as I sat here watching Oprah talk to "Octo Mom", Landon was supposed to be taking a nap when I heard a massive thud. I sprinted up the stairs as fast as I could, to go into his room and find him laying on the floor, by his crib. He'd fallen out. The noise was so loud, I was convinced the crib had come down with him too. I was expecting a horror scene when I went into his room, I was happy that he was only out of his crib and no injuries or blood were present. It just goes as a reminder that he's a busy toddler now, and into EVERYTHING. Just this week, I've pulled a small spool of thread out of his mouth, a penny, a quarter, a large piece of lint, and I can't remember what else. He is my little pirhana. He also, now bites. If we don't firmly say "NO BITING", prior, he'll bite as hard as he can, until he shakes in some cases.
I will admit, it's cute to see him walk in circles, and stand up and go wherever his little heart desires (usually to one of his wheeled toys, he has an obsession with cars/trucks) but at the same time.....I want my little non mobile boy back that diodn't fall out of his crib, that didn't tear down his gates (we have a mounted one, and un mounted one, he yanks the un mounted one down..cause it's not drilled into the wall) that didn't throw his food on the ground, and that didn't bite his Mom.
He's so cute and sweet sometimes, have to remind myself of that because he's a handful now!

I'm not going to answer my phone
My grandparents have been failing in their health the last few weeks, We're "waiting for the call". and that makes me HORRIBLY sad. I think of it and cry, honestly.
A few nights ago....I heard sobbing coming from Leenas room. It was after bedtime, and late. I go in there, and poor Leena is a mess. She was sobbing, and hard. And when I asked her what was wrong, she said "I'm worried about grandmaleen". It broke my heart. That's my moms mom, who is 87.
We had a talk that grandmas body is old and frail, and she's in A LOT of pain.
I told her she's old and in pain, but her spirit is still young and the same person she's always been, and she will die. We just don't know when. But, we need to remember that they'll both be pain free. I told her how awful it would be to suffer everyday.
With that said, I hope my grandpa goes shortly after her. I don't know what he'd do without her. I can only hope it's like this, and if you DO NOT CRY during this, you have a heart of stone! Even I don't cry, and this makes me weep.

Winter Wonderland - in April!
We went to Mt. Rainier with Jeffs mom, as she's in town until tomorrow. It was fun and ended up SUNNY!!!! YAY! Roads were closed up past the visitors center, oh well. Still was fun to climb up on some ice stacks, and see some wildlife ;)

Jeff and I

Found these cute little snowmen just staring at me

Thanks Leena!

Sweet little boy, wow LOVE this picture!

Jeffs mom....hahaha

Leena Beena!

HOLY COW!! It was SOOOOO COLD!! Wind was blowing everywhere and I had a measly fleece on that gave me no protection! Leena caught me in the middle of the "HOLY CRAP, run back to the car!"

Well, that was fun. But, I have no proof!
I forgot to take ANY picture of easter! Wow, it crossed my mind too, but...oh well.
Saturday I went to a session of Conference with my friend and Landon. I swear, I kept seeing lights fly around the inside of the dark chapel. Now that I think about it, it probably was a piece of glitter on my eyelash and if I blinked, would give the illusion of a church going UFO or something.
Landon was totally exhausted but did whatever he could to stay awake during the 2 hours there. He even fell off the pugh at one point, but didn't make a peep, in typical Landon fashion. He got a lot of snuggles and had a lot of fun with his car, but it was a distraction to have a toddler there, that's for sure!
Leena was at her dad's for Friday-Saturday, and she had a lot of fun at a extreme trampoline gym out in Bellevue I think. She came home tired as well. Sunday was easter, we did tie dyed eggs, and Landon helped too! We'd ask him what color he wanted...he's sloooowly point to all of them, and pick a color! Too cute! his egg came out good :) I then started the meal preparation. I made scalloped potatoes without owning a medalion. I will be buying one of those next time! My hand is still mad at me for thin slicing for what felt like an hour yesterday. Dinner was fantastic, even if Jeff and Leena demanded steak :) (we're not big ham fans over here)
Because the egg dying went past the designated time frame that I would've liked, cooking got delayed and so on. We did our won easter egg hunt inside the house. I always had SO much fun with my parents when we did that when I was a kid! I hid the eggs in our downstairs area of our house, and the kids had to wait upstairs. Leena was a whirlwind and found many pretty fast. I even hid some in Landon's toys because they would blend right in with all of the bright colors they have on them.
Landon got some help from Jeff, but oh my gosh. SO CUTE, he would find an egg and smile sooo big and shake it and run to his easter basket and drop it in. He thought it was great!
It was great fun. This morning, I sat here quietly watching Landon enjoying the buzz of a almost empty home, and I noticed....it was way too quiet. I looked for where Landon was, as he was no more than 10ft away from me. I look to my left, and he's parked next to Leena's easter basket. He's mastered the art of opening up the plastic eggs to get the goodies on the inside. I watched him shove something in his mouth, and then I realized, it was a jelly bean. And then I see the open eggs and that they're empty! He is a candy thief! Haha, funny boy! I let him eat the one in his mouth and yanked him away.
He's so smart, I'm in for it.

Helloooooo Spring Break!
We kicked off Leena's spring break with a trip to Point Defiance. We went last summer and it was fun! My buddy, Brian and his cute little family, live near by and met up with us there. They have a little boy, Logan, who's just a few months older than Leena Beena. After the shy barriers broke on each of their ends, they seemed to have fun. Leena is competitive, so I wasn't too shocked to see her have a "how long can you hold your breath" showdown later on! Here are some photos :)

Silly boys!

Bison?

Wallaby!! SO cute!

Landy!!

Spandy!!

Jeff and my friend Blistex.

Logan and Leena

Otter

Polar Bear

Arctic Fox

Body Language says it ALLLLLL! "UGGGGH! GIRLS!!" Haha!

Love this baby!

Cute Logan!

Brian and his wife :)

Flower, I like this one!

SHARK!!

Brian is taunting Nemo....and Marlin.

What? No Dory?!

Logan and Leena playing, I thought this was kinda cute.
All in all, it was a fun filled day. Everyone slept on the drive home! (which was maybe about 35 min?) I'd heard about Logan a bunch, but had not had a chance to ever meet him. He is probably just as energetic as Leena (YESSSSS!! Someone who can wear her out besides me!) and does what she does!! I had seen him do a few somersaults down a grassy hill...this is good. Leena does full on barrel rolls down hills, they were both doing it by the end of the day. And, I think they both left without any grass stains, even better! (They both has some sort of white on them) As we were leaving and saying good-bye, Logan nicely, and politely might I add! Asked when he could hang out with Leena next, and he suggested maybe they could have a sleep over, we all laughed. Kids are cute! Well Logan, you're welcome here anytime! As far as sleep overs....I don't think you'd want to sleep here. We sleep walk and only eat tofu, alll the time! I think you'd be bored!

WELCOME HOME SETHY-SETH-A-ROO!!!!!!!
HI SETHY!!!

That's my excited face!
Oh I've missed you so!! I'm glad you get to hang out with Mom and Dad though, much needed parental exposure :)
I can't wait for you to meet little Landon, he really is a sweet spirit, you'll love him as he's turning into a rough houser, already! Leena has braces, but she is cute and sparkly, even with a sinus infection in the works. She is a GOOD scripture reader, when you both go home to Seattle, she'll be at the house, you can read your daily scriptures with her! I know that she'll love it :)
(this is the most recent pictures of the kids, it's our family easter photo:))

I'm hoping your transition will go smoothly. I know Cody really had a hard time, hopefully with Mom and Dad there, it will ease things. And, you'll spend sometime in an area that has missionaries, perhaps you can go on splits with them, nothing wrong with making the Bermuda branch bigger! :)
This video reminded me of you, watch it and you'll understand, if not know all the words ;) No worries, it's a Kenneth Cope song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxpECovmdyY
I love you, Seth! WELCOME HOME, ELDER ELLEDGE!! Can't wait to give you a bug hug! And we'll keep you in our prayers :)
